Matthew Matt James is a North Carolina native born on 5 December 1991. Matthew Matt James was a mixed race child of Manny James (of Jamaican descent) along with Patty James. The mother of Manny James was caucasian and his father Nigerian. In 2010, he graduated from Sanderson High School and furthered to Wake Forest University where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics in the year 2015. James became famous when the reality show aired him as a star in The Bachelorette. James was selected in the year 2020 as the bachelor of the year in The Bachelor season 25, being the show's first African American male star. The season premiered later that year. James' fit was perfect for the part because his attractive, well-rounded and large-bodied personality. Rachael Krkconnell was selected as his partner for the entire season. In the following year, 2021, he was joined with the famous dancer Arnold for season 30 Dancing with the Stars. James and Arnold finished 12th.
