Aisling Bea

Aisling B a is born on 16 March 1984, in Kildare Ireland. She appeared on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984), better known as Aisling Bea is an Irish actor, writer and comedian. Bea was first able to make a name for herself in stand-up comedy in 2011 after playing small roles she played for Irish and British television dramas starting in 2009. In 2012, she was frequently appearing on sketch comedy shows and sitcoms. Following her win during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began to be booked regularly for numerous panel shows for which she was a frequent guest. She was a member of the 8 Out of 10 Cats team from 2016-2017 and is an ongoing contestant on its spinoff, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was the child of Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead is the younger of her siblings. She became only the second female winner of So You Think You're Funny in 2012. Bea was awarded the award in memory of her father. Aisling Cliodhnadh is an Kildare born woman. Her birth date was the 16th of March, 1984. Bea's father Brian was an equine vet who committed suicide after Bea turned three was a sufferer of self-harm. The news of his death only at the age of thirteen. Her stage name Bea was a tribute for her father. Bea was the author of an opinion piece for The Guardian, published in 2017, about her experience dealing with suicide. Bea's mother Helen, who is also a jockey-trainer and former pro jockey was responsible for raising her and Sinead. The family was passionate about horses and races. Bea spent her childhood as a Tour Guide for the Irish National Stud. From the age of a child, Bea knew that she didn't want racing as a career. Instead, she was drawn to the performing arts.
